What does The Salvation Army Torrance Corps do?

Operating out of two locations, The Salvation Army Torrance Corps serves families and individuals residing within the communities of Torrance, Harbor City, Lomita, Wilmington, and Carson.

It is our intention to address the unique needs of these communities by offering a variety of services. At our Stillman Sawyer Services Center in Harbor City, we focus on helping those in need through our food pantry, housing assistance, job training, and holiday assistance.

At our location in Torrance, we offer Sunday worship services, youth activities, day camp and summer camp, and music education (Crescendo Music and Dance). Coming soon, we will also have a professional recording studio.

Wait, The Salvation Army is a church?

Yes! It is The Salvation Army’s Mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the community.  Come and join us! We have small groups at 9:45am for all ages, and our worship service is at 10:45am every Sunday. Learn more >

While thrift stores, also known as Family Stores, are a major component of The Salvation Army, there is not a store at this location.
